Tasbih

We are taught to read:

Subhan Allah 33 times
Alhamdu lillah 33 times
Allahu akbar 33 times

After every salah

Subhan Allah means: Glory be to Allah
Alhamdu lillah Means: Praise be to Allah
Allahu akbar means: Allah is the greatest.

Du'a for parents

رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

Rabbir hamhu ma kama rabba yani sagheerah

O Allah have mercy on my parents as they had mercy on me when I was a child.

Steps of wudu

Today we learnt about the steps of wudu. wudu has nine steps

1: say bissmillah - in the name of Allah

2: Washing both hands three times

3: rinsing the mouth three times

4: washing the nose three times

5: washing the face three times

6: washing both arms three times

7: wiping the head 1 time

8: wiping both ears 1 time

9: washing both feet three times

The five pillars of Islam

So far we have learnt about the five pillars of Islam

1:Shahadah
2:Salah
3:Zakah
4:Sawm
5:Hajj

shahadah is to believe in Allah and Mohammad is his messenger (saw)

لا إله إلاَّ الله محمد رسول الله

Salah is to pray five times a day, fajr, zuhr, asr, maghrib and esha

zakah is to give 2.5% of your savings in a year to the poor and needy

Sawm is to fast in the month of ramadan

Hajj is to make a holy journey to makkah once in a life time
